About MAC

Monroeville Arts Council members welcome you and want you to know what Monroeville Arts Council’s goals are. This all-volunteer, non-profit organization presents a variety of fine art, musical, and educational events each year at no charge and open to the public. These activities include a Summer Concert Series in July, Educational Outreach Art Workshops, Art in the Park every third Saturday in June. Also, MAC with Biondi Motors sponsors monetary awards annually to Gateway High School seniors interested in arts education. A number of other outreach events are held in the local areas. Information and photos illustrating these programs can be found by accessing this website’s menu and viewing the Photo Gallery.

MAC’s mission is to encourage growth of the arts in the community. From its inception, MAC has worked to provide leadership and nurture development of creative projects in the arts. Early programs were Orchestra Nova (nine years), OnStage (a four-year program of theatre presentations) and the Greater Monroeville Arts Festival (a 12-year prelude to eight years of SummerFest).aboutbanner

They are scheduled the third Wednesdays of the month at 7 p.m. You are welcome to come and meet the board members to learn how plans are made. There is no obligation to join.
